Patricia Briggs

My current author that I enjoy reading is Patricia Briggs. The book I like to recommend to everyone is Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood (Hurog 1 & 2)

What I enjoy most about her is that she has well-researched fantasy stories. There are some authors that make up their own rules, but I truly enjoy the classic viewpoint. Hurog is about wizards and dragons and paranoid overbearing kings and mystical artifacts and places.

(The author has written other series:  The Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega series are in a completely separate world that has werewolves, fae, and vampires as the mystical creatures trifecta with other miscellaneous beings/creatures/people in the world. I only hesitate to recommend it despite the stellar world portrayal is because it has unashamed Mary Sue romance.)

Hurog is good, though. Romance is almost an afterthought rather than in the forefront. The main character is wildly clever and enormously strong and in line for the western seaside pretty much castle. The stronghold is also said to have a curse.

Anyways, I love it. I'm reading Patricia Briggs this weekend until my life regains balance

Pre- and Post-haircut

See how long my hair is?

 16 inches right there

Doing a happy dance for the style and color :)

Me and my friend who did my hair for me

I cut my hair and donate it to locks of love every couple of years. I went a little longer than usual for cutting my hair and it got cut to higher than my shoulders, which hasn't happened since maybe 7th grade or before. This is my last time donating because they don't want dyed hair, so I am gonna have fun with it!
